Hypnotherapy For Anxiety And Panic Attacks

Quitmasters can help with general anxiety as well as panic attacks by identifying the cause, ‘unlearning’ the learned response and relaxing. Anxiety disorders are very common, affecting as many as 13% of the adult population. Anxiety can range from general feelings of anxiousness or nervousness, to a full-blown panic attack.

Both often leave you less able to think clearly or act in a calm and rational manner.  For example when an interview or important meeting in looming we may feel increasing anxiety over several days, or even weeks.  This anxiousness can be so crippling that we either prepare too little as dealing with the fear makes us feel uncomfortable, or we prepare like crazy and never feel content that we have done our best.  Either way we enter the room on the day of the interview or meeting feeling scared and lacking confidence.  This then inhibits us from achieving our full potential.

Some people continue through life never really overcoming their anxiety and never really achieving their full potential.  Quitmasters like to encourage people to live their lives to the fullest and believe anxiety and panic attacks to be the most common hindrance.  Quitmasters can help.

A panic attack is an intense period of fear or discomfort.  You only need to be experiencing four of the symptoms below for you to be diagnosed as having a panic attack;
Difficulty breathing, feeling as though you 'can't get enough air'
Racing heartbeat
Dizziness, light-headedness or nausea
Choking, chest pains
Tingling in fingers or toes ('pins and needles')
Fear that you're going to go crazy or are about to die
Hot flushes, or sudden chills
Trembling, sweating, shaking
Terror that is almost paralysing
Panic attacks can occur in seemingly harmless situations and many report them occurring ‘out of the blue’.
How Can Hypnotherapy and NLP Help?
General anxiety and panic attacks are caused when a present situation causes 'old' emotions and feelings to come to the surface. Anxiety and panic are simply processes that we have learned and as with all learning it is impossible to unlearn it consciously.  Hypnotherapy and NLP access these sub-conscious processes and help you to unlearn them.
Within Hypnotherapy and NLP we can teach you to control your breathing, thus lowering your heart rate.  You will then be able to relax at the onset of a panic attack, thus reducing the levels of anxiety and stopping the panic attack from taking place.
